The "Untouchables" are the forgotten children of Nepal.
This is the story about how one of those children found a voice through paint and canvas.
This is Dipesh Nepali,
The Painter and his home,
The Peaks.
This is his story

Dipesh Nepali was born into the Nepalese caste system - a system that defined him before he had a chance to define himself. But through painting, he defies cultural limitations, creating a vibrant and fulfilling life for himself that was deemed impossible since birth.

Self-taught and deeply inspired by nature, Dipesh is a plein-air painter empowered by his shadows and his own resilience. Set in the bustling city of Kathmandu and the stillness of the Himalayas, The Painter and the Peaks is a glimpse into Dipesh’s life, his mind, and his dramatic natural environment as he creates his most personal series of paintings yet.

This film explores both the highs and lows of what it means to be an artist, and just how important self expression and nature are to the human spirit.

His paintings are not just a reflection of who he is - they are a declaration of who he refuses to be.
